What's in the week

Five afternoons of astronomy and hands-on science. Kit ships before camp begins.

Astronomy theme

Stars, planets, the universe. Real science, made hands-on and accessible.

STEM kit shipped

Materials for every project mailed to your home before camp starts.

Hands-on experiments

Try it, build it, watch it work. Science you do, not just watch.

Special guest

Amelia.Science from the UK joins us. Engaging science for special needs.

Real science. Real discovery. Built for them.

This isn't a STEM curriculum adapted for special needs. It's built specifically for teens and adults with disabilities, designed by educators who know how to make complex science feel doable, exciting, and fun, without ever talking down.

This year we're joined by Amelia.Science, the UK-based science specialist and Instagram favorite who runs engaging science clubs for individuals with special needs. Five days of curious minds, real discovery, and the signature Friendship Circle energy.

Why families pick FCO

A program built for teens and adults with special needs, run by people who do this every week of the year.

Inclusive by design

Not a typical camp adapted for special needs. Built for special needs from the first session, five years ago.

From home, on their terms

No transport, no sensory overload, no awkward drop-offs. Comfortable space, familiar setup, full participation.

Real friendship

Small groups, returning faces, trained facilitators. Participants leave with friends, not just a certificate.

Common questions

Who is this for?

Teens and adults with special needs, including autism, Down syndrome, and other developmental and intellectual disabilities. Participants typically range from age 13 through adulthood.

What ships in the STEM kit?

Everything you need for the week's experiments: materials, tools, project pieces. Specifics get shared with registered families before camp starts.

When does the kit arrive?

We ship in early August, well before the August 24 start date. Register by August 10 to guarantee delivery in time.

What if cost is an issue?

Need-based scholarships available, just email onlineadmin@friendshipcircle.com. Cost should never be the reason a kid misses out.

Do parents need to stay on?

Up to you. Some parents stay nearby for support, others use it as their break. Our facilitators are experienced running the room.

Do we need any special tech or science background?

No. A computer, tablet, or phone with Zoom, plus the kit we ship. We bring everything else.
